U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will visit six Asian countries during a week-long trip starting next Monday.

The U.S. State Department says Ms. Rice will visit India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan -- where she is expected to focus on U.S. relations in all three countries along with efforts to rebuild Afghanistan.

In East Asia, the secretary is due to visit Japan, China, and South Korea. The administration says Ms. Rice will discuss regional cooperation and efforts to jumpstart another round of six-party talks on North Korea's nuclear program.
