President Bush heads back to work today (Thursday), expected to hold his first cabinet meeting after a successful re-election campaign.

Although the White House has not yet announced any cabinet changes to start the Bush second term, officials like National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice, Secretary of State Colin Powell and Attorney General John Ashcroft are seen by pundits as likely to leave or to be reassigned.

Mr. Bush, the Republican incumbent, won a second term Tuesday with 51 percent of the popular vote to Democratic Senator John Kerry's 48 percent.

Mr. Kerry conceded defeat Wednesday after making a congratulatory telephone call to the president. The two men discussed how they could unite an America bitterly divided by the election -- a theme Mr. Bush repeated in his victory speech less than two hours later.
