북대서양조약기구, 나토 (NATO) 회원국들이 코소보내 평화유지 임무 확대의 일환으로 코소보 보안군을 훈련시키기로 합의했습니다.
나토의 한 대변인은 회원국들이 민간의 통제를 받는 경무기로 무장한 코소보 보안병력에 대한 훈련을 지원하기로 12일 합의했다고 말했습니다.
나토 회원국 국방장관들은 이날 벨기에의 수도 브뤼셀에서 코소보와 아프가니스탄, 그리고 미사일 방어체제에 초점을 맞춘 이틀간의 회담에 들어갔습니다.
일부 나토 회원국들은 코소보의 지난 2월 독립선언을 인정하지 않고 있으며 코소보에 주둔중인 나토 평화유지군 1만 6천명의 역할에 대해서도 문제점들이 제기되고 있습니다.

NATO ministers are also to discuss the alliance's mission in Afghanistan and U.S. plans to build a missile-defense system in Poland and the Czech Republic. Russia strongly opposes the missile plan.
Discussions will also include plans for expanding the 26-nation alliance.
