이라크 시아파 무장단체 지도자 2명이 연합군에 투항했다고 미군 당국이 밝혔습니다.
미군 당국은 오늘 발표한 성명에서 연합군이 이라크 수도 바그다드 남쪽 쿠트 시에서 시아파 무장단체 용의자들의 자택을 급습했다며 이같이 밝혔습니다.
성명은 투항한 시아파 무장단체 지도자 가운데 한 명이 연합군과 이라크 지방 당국에 대한 공격을 지시하고 이란으로부터 무기를 밀반입한 혐의를 받고 있다고 밝혔습니다.

The U.S. military in Iraq says two Shi'ite militia leaders have surrendered to coalition forces during a military operation south of Baghdad.
A military statement says coalition troops raided the suspects' homes near the city of Kut today (Friday). It says one of the men is suspected of ordering attacks on coalition forces and local authorities. He is also suspected of smuggling Iranian weapons into Iraq.
In a separate statement, the military says coalition troops killed four suspected terrorists and detained more than 20 others in a raid in northern Iraq Wednesday.
It says the operation targeted members of an al-Qaida in Iraq network responsible for car bomb attacks and weapons smuggling.
