사막 신임 총리는 미국의 소리 방송과의 인터뷰에서 탁신 전 총리와 연락을 취하고 있다면서, 하지만 자신은 탁신 전 총리의 꼭두각시는 아니라고 말했습니다.

Mr. Samak says that having served five times as a Cabinet minister and three times as a deputy minister, he has the experience to lead the country. The new prime minister says he is in regular contact with Mr. Thaksin, but told VOA he is not the former prime minister's puppet.
Mr. Thaksin is in exile. His opponents in the military-appointed interim government ordered his Thai Rak Thai Party disbanded and he was banned from politics for five years.
