아프가니스탄의 이슬람 무장세력인 탈레반은 외국군이 주둔하는 한 아프간 정부당국과 협상하지 않겠다고 말했습니다.
탈레반 대변인 카리 유스프 아마디는 30일 아프간 정부의 협상제안과 관련 미군을 비롯한 외국군이 철수하기 전에는 정부측과 협상하지 않을 것이라고 말했습니다.
이에 앞서 아프가니스탄의 하미드 카르자이 대통령은 탈레반 반군 지도자 오마르가 저항을 멈출경우 개인적으로 만나 정부내 직책을 줄 용의가 있다고 밝혔습니다.
그러나 탈레반측은 카르자이가 대통령직을 포기한다고 해도 탈레반 지도자 오마르가 협상에 나서는 일은 없을 것이라고 말했습니다.
아프가니스탄의 카르자이 대통령의 이번 협상 제안은 지난 29일 카불에서 군용 버스를 겨냥한 자살 폭탄 테러로 30여 명이 숨지는 등 아프간에서 폭력 사태가 악화하는 가운데 나온 것입니다. 한편 유엔도 이번 자살 폭탄 테러를 비난하고 아프간 사태에 대해 우려를 표시했습니다.

The Taleban says it will never negotiate with the Afghan government as long as foreign troops remain in the country.
A Taleban spokesman (Yousuf Ahmadi) said today (Sunday) that the Taleban has no interest in taking government posts, and is only interested in the withdrawal of foreign forces.
The remarks came a day after Afghan President Hamid Karzai said he is ready to offer government positions to insurgent leaders willing to put down their weapons and join Afghanistan's political establishment.
Mr. Karzai offered Saturday to meet with Mullah Omar, the Taleban's fugitive leader, and insurgent commander Gulbuddin Hekmatyar.
Mr. Karzai spoke several hours after a suicide bomb attack on a crowded army bus in the capital, Kabul, killed 30 people and wounded 21 others.
