이보다 앞서 간밤에 모가디슈에서 기관총과 로켓 추진 수류탄으로 무장한 저항세력이 보안군과 교전을 벌였습니다. 목격자들은 총격전 현장 근처의 한 주거지역에서 수류탄이 터져 적어도 2명이 사망했다고 말했습니다.
Witnesses in Somalia's capital say at least five people have been killed and at least nine others injured by a bomb explosion near a crowded market.
Witnesses and health care workers say a group of women were cleaning the street near Mogadishu's Bakara market when the bomb exploded today (Tuesday). They say police arrived at the scene a short time later and sealed off the area.
The explosion follows another night of unrest in the capital in which insurgents armed with machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades battled security forces. Witnesses say at least two people died when a grenade hit a residence near the sight of the gunbattle.
The clashes occurred in a northern area of the capital known to be an Islamist stronghold.
