미국 재무부 관계관들은 방코 델타 아시아 북한계좌에 들어있는 자금이 동결에서 해제됨에 따라 베이징 중국 은행 북한계좌로 이전될 것이라고 19일, 밝힌 바 있습니다. 북한은 동결해제된 자금을 인도주의 목적에 사용하겠다고 약속했습니다.
한편, 6자회담 미국 수석대표인 크리스토퍼 힐 국무부 동아시아태평양 담당 차관보는 6자회담이 정상대로 진행될 것임을 확신한다고 말했습니다. 힐 차관보는 또 방코 델타 아시아 북한계좌에 들어있는 자금 이전문제는 관련은행들이 가능한 한 조속히 처리할 것이라고 덧붙였습니다.

Talks on North Korea's nuclear disarmament stalled today (Tuesday) in Beijing when North Korean delegates boycotted a meeting with other top negotiators.
Japan's delegation spokesman (Nori Shikata) told VOA that North Korea says it will boycott the talks until it can confirm that 25 million dollars of its funds, frozen in a Macau bank, are transferred to a (North Korean) bank account in China.
U.S. Treasury officials said Monday that the funds will be released and transferred to an account in Beijing. Pyongyang has promised the money would be used for humanitarian purposes.
Macanese officials also said Monday that they will send the funds to Beijing. The transfer could take several days.
The United States top envoy Christopher Hill says he is confident that talks will stay on track, and that he was sure banks would resolve the issue as soon as they can take care of it.
China's Foreign Ministry spokesman (Liu Jianchao) says Beijing still hopes that all parties can implement an agreement reached last month.
