칠레의 전 독재자 아우구스토 피노체트는 (Augusto Pinochet) 지난 1973 쿠데타로 축출한 살바도르 아옌데 전대통령의 경호원 두명에 대한 살해혐의로 가택연금에 처해졌습니다.
수도 산티아고에서 한 판사가 27일 그같이 명령했습니다.
두명의 전직 대통령 경호원들은 쿠데타가 발생한 1973년 9월 11일, 체포되었고 그 다음달에 살해당했습니다. .
피노체트는 1973년에서 1990년까지의 독재 집권시 무차별적으로 인권유린을 자행한 혐의를 받고 있습니다. 당시 칠레에서는 3천명 이상이 정치적 이유로 살해되거나 실종됐습니다. 지난 25일 91세가 된 피노체트는 전직 대통령 자격으로 부여받았던 법적 면죄특권을 박탈 당했습니다.

Former Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet has been placed under house arrest in connection with the killing of two bodyguards of the president he overthrew in 1973.
A judge in Santiago issued the order today (Monday).
The two bodyguards were arrested September 11th, 1973, the day of the coup that toppled President Salvador Allende. They were killed the following month.
General Pinochet has been accused of numerous human rights violations during his rule from 1973 to 1990. More than three-thousand people were killed or disappeared for political reasons during that time.
The former dictator was placed under house arrest last month in connection with disappearances, torture and murder in the 1970s, but was later released.
