세계적인 국제구호 단체인 적십자사 국제위원회는 테러 용의자들이 구금돼있는 쿠바 관타나모 미군 기지 수용소 방문을 마쳤다고 밝혔습니다.
적십자사 대변인은 방문 대표단이 최근 미국 중앙 정보국 CIA 의 비밀 수용 시설에서 이감된 14명의 테러 용의자들을 포함해 454명의 수감자들을 만났다고 말했습니다.
이들 테러 용의자들 가운데는 9.11 테러 공격 주모 혐의자인 카리드 세이크 모하메드등이 포함돼 있습니다.
적십자사는 대표단이 수감자들을 개별적으로 접촉해 대화를 나눌 수 있었다고 말하고 수감자들 역시 가족들에게 메시지를 전할 기회가 주어졌다고 덧붙였습니다.

The International Committee of the Red Cross says it has completed its latest visit of suspected terrorists being held at the U.S. military prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
A Red Cross spokesman says officials had seen 454 detainees at the prison, including 14 suspected terrorists recently transferred from various secret facilities run by the CIA. The suspects include Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged mastermind of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States.
Red Cross officials were able to register the prisoners and interview them individually. The detainees were also given a chance to send messages to their families.
The Pentagon revealed the Red Cross visit to reporters Thursday.
The Geneva-based humanitarian agency is the only one allowed to visit Guantanamo Bay on a regular basis.
