한국의 현대자동차는 노조와 한 달에 걸친 파업을 끝내기 위한 잠정합의에 도달했다고 밝혔습니다. 이번 합의에는 5.1%의 급여인상이 포함돼 있다고 회사 대변인은 말했습니다.
이번 합의가 최종 확정될 경우 지난 6월26일 시작된 파업은 한 달 만에 끝나게 됩니다. 현대자동차는 이번 파업으로 9만1천대의 차량이 생산되지 못해 이로 인한 손실이 10억달러가 넘는다면서, 이 때문에 수출이 중단됐다고 말했습니다.
현대자동차 근로자들은 1987년 노조가 결성된 이래 단 한 번을 제외하고는 매년 파업을 벌여왔습니다.

The South Korean auto maker Hyundai says it has reached a tentative agreement with its labor union to end a month-long strike.
A company spokesman says the provisional accord calls for a five-point-one percent pay raise.
If the deal is approved, it would end a strike that began June 26th. The company says the strike has cost 91-thousand vehicles and more than one billion dollars in lost production, and has forced Hyundai to suspend exports.
Hyundai workers have gone on strike every year but one since the union was formed in 1987.
