한편, 러시아 외교부는 3일, 러시아 외교관 1명이 바그다드에서 무장세력의 총격을 받아 피살되고, 대사관 직원 4명이 납치됐다고 확인했습니다. 이라크 당국은 이날, 무장괴한들이 러시아 대사관에서 멀지 않은 바그다드 서쪽 만수르 지역에서 이동중이던 러시아 대사관 차량을 공격했다고 밝혔습니다.

Officials in the southern Iraqi city of say a car bomb blast has killed at least 15 people and wounded 30 others.
The attack today (Saturday) comes three days after Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki declared a state of emergency in Basra after weeks of factional Shi'ite fighting.
Elsewhere in Iraq today, a Russian diplomat was killed and four embassy workers were kidnapped in Baghdad. Iraqi officials say gunmen attacked the group in the Mansour area of Baghdad, near the Russian embassy.
Authorities also say eight severed heads were found near Baquba, north of Baghdad. A note left at the scene identified one of the victims and accused him of killing Shi'ites.
