The president of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, has arrived in Moscow (Sunday) for a three-day visit.
Mr. Abbas is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. Officials on both sides say the talks will deal with Middle East peace efforts and bilateral relations.
The Russian foreign ministry says relations with the Palestinians is at a high point, and noted that security cooperation between Israel and the Palestinians had resumed.
