인종으로 분리된 북부 코소보의 미트로비카시에서 두 번의 폭발이 일어난 후 나토군과 유럽연합군이 이 지역에 증강배치 됐습니다.
지난 2일 세르비아인들이 거주하는 미트로비카시 북쪽 지역에 폭탄이 터졌지만 차만 부서지고 인명피해는 없었습니다.
이후 4일, 오전 미트로비카시 보스하카 마할라 지역에서 두번째 폭탄이 터져, 이 지역에서 세르비아 시위대에 의해 발생한 화재를 진압하던 소방관 6명이 부상했습니다.
한편 파트미르 세르지우 코소보 대통령은 이같은 폭탄공격을 비난하고 시민들에게 진정할 것을 호소했습니다.
미트로비카시에서는 코소보가 지난 해 세르비아로부터 독립을 선언한 후 이 지역에 살고 있는 세르비아인과 알바니아계인 간에 긴장이 고조돼 왔습니다.
지난 주 초 한 세르비아인이 칼에 찔렸고, 경찰은 두 명의 알아니아인을 체포했습니다. 한편 프랑스 언론은 체포된 두 사람이 간단한 심문을 받은 후 풀려났고, 칼에 찔린 사람은 회복 중이라고 밝혔습니다.

NATO and European Union troops have reinforced their presence in northern Kosovo, after two explosions took place in the ethnically-divided city of Mitrovica.
The first explosion happened Friday outside a cafe in the Serb-dominated northern part of the city, damaging cars but causing no injuries.
It was followed by a blast early Saturday that wounded six firefighters who were putting out a blaze set by angry Serbs in the nearby Bosnjacka Mahala district of the city.
Kosovo's president, Fatmir Sejdiu, condemned the violence and appealed for calm.
Mitrovica remains deeply split and rife with tension between Serbs and ethnic Albanians nearly a year after Kosovo province declared independence from Serbia.
Earlier this week, a Serb was stabbed in the city. Officers arrested two young ethnic Albanians following the stabbing. The French news agency reports that both have been released after questioning, and the victim is recovering.
