이와 관련해 영국의 존 소어스 유엔대사는 균형 잡힌 결의안 초안이 제출되면, 채택될 가능성이 높다고 말했습니다.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy is to host Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni in Paris today (Thursday) for talks on Israel's deadly military offensive against the Palestinian militant group Hamas.
Mr. Sarkozy is pushing hard for an end to the violence in the Gaza Strip, and plans to travel to Israel and the West Bank Monday.
Livni's visit to Paris today (Thursday) follows Israel's rejection earlier this week of a 48-hour truce proposed by France.
On Wednesday, the United Nations Security Council considered a draft resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire between Israel and Hamas.
The Council decided more debate was needed on the issue, after the United States and Britain called the Arab proposal one-sided.
Britain's U.N. ambassador, John Sawers, said a balanced resolution would have "a good chance" of getting the council's support.
