파키스탄은 인도와 우호적인 관계를 유지하길 바란다고 유사프 라자 길라니 파키스탄 총리가 밝혔습니다.
길라니 총리는 27일 TV 연설을 통해 파키스탄이 인도를 선제 공격하지는 않을 것이라고 말했습니다.
파키스탄 정부는 26일 수천 명의 군 병력을 인도와의 접경지역으로 이동시켰습니다.
러시아 외무부는 27일 파키스탄과 인도가 접경지역에 군 병력을 전진 배치하는데 우려를 포명하고 양국의 자제를 촉구했습니다. 미국 정부 관리들 역시 양국이 군사적 긴장을 완하할 것을 주문했습니다.
양국간 긴장은 지난 11월 인도 뭄바이에서 동시 다발 테러가 발생한 뒤 심화돼 왔습니다. 인도는 파키스탄에 근거를 둔 반군 단체가 뭄바이 테러의 주범이라고 비난하고 있습니다.

Pakistan's prime minister says his country wants "friendly relations" with India, amid continued international concern about growing tensions between the neighboring states.
Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said on state television today (Saturday) that Pakistan will not strike first against India. He said "We will not act. We will only react."
Pakistan ordered thousands of troops to its border with India Friday. Witnesses say they saw Pakistani troops moving eastward from the country's border with Afghanistan.
Russia's foreign ministry today(Saturday) called on both countries to show restraint, adding that Moscow is "extremely concerned" by the troop build-up on both sides of the border. U.S. officials have also urged the two countries to avoid escalating tensions.
Tensions between the two neighbors have been high since November's terrorist attacks in (the Indian city of) Mumbai. India blames those attacks on Pakistan-based militants.
