아프리카 짐바브웨의 콜레라 전염이 계속 악화돼 사망자 수가 1천1백 명을 넘어서고 있다고 유엔이 밝혔습니다.
18일 발표된 유엔의 수치에 따르면, 지난 이틀 동안 짐바브웨에서 콜레라로 인한 사망자 수가 133명 더 늘었습니다.
유엔 인도주의업무조정국 OCHA는 지난 8월 이후 짐바브웨에서 2만 5백 건 이상의 콜레라 발병 사례가 있었다고 밝혔습니다.
인도주의업무조정국은 짐바브웨 수도 하라레 서쪽의 체구투 얼반이라는 지역에서 새로운 콜레라 발병이 있었다고 밝혔습니다. 유엔에 따르면, 이 곳에서는 콜레라 감염 의심 사례가 378건, 콜레라로 인한 사망자 수가 121건 보고됐습니다.
유엔은, 깨끗한 식수와 위생시설의 부족에다 짐바브웨 보건관리들의 파업으로 인해 문제가 악화되고 있다고 말했습니다.

The U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) says more than 20-thousand-500 cholera cases have been reported in Zimbabwe since August.
The agency today reported a new outbreak in Chegutu Urban, west of the capital Harare, where it says more than 378 suspected cases and 121 deaths have been recorded.
The U.N. says a lack of clean drinking water and sanitation continues to be a problem, as well as a strike by most of the country's health workers.
Aid agencies are warning that supplies of intravenous fluids, used to treat cholera, could run out early next year.
