세계보건기구는 앞서 9일 콜레라 확산을 막기 위해 조치를 취하지 않으면 짐바브웨의 콜레라 전체 발생건수가 6만건에 달할 수 있다고 경고했습니다.

The WHO released new data today (Wednesday)showing the total number of suspected cases in the southern African country has risen to more than 16-thousand-100.
On Tuesday, the WHO warned that the total number of cholera cases could reach 60-thousand unless the cholera epidemic is stopped.
Zimbabwe's health minister recently appealed for international help to fight the water-borne disease. But on Tuesday, the country's information minister (Sikhanyiso Ndlovu)insisted the cholera situation is under control.
The epidemic has worsened a humanitarian crisis in Zimbabwe that has spurred several heads of government to call on President Robert Mugabe to resign.
