News reports from Pakistan say a suspected U.S. drone (unmanned aircraft)has carried out an airstrike in a Pakistani tribal area, killing at least three people.
Local officials and witnesses said the drone fired at least one missile into North Waziristan.
The Pakistani government has accused the U.S. of carrying out missile strikes in the past, something the U.S. has neither confirmed nor denied.
The attacks come as police continue to investigate a deadly car bombing in the northwestern city of Peshawar. Authorities say at least 20 people were killed and some 70 others wounded in the attack on a crowded market late Friday.
Earlier in the day, Pakistani officials said six people were killed by a suicide car bomber in a Shi'ite neighborhood of the Orakazai tribal region.
The region is a haven for al-Qaida and Taliban militants.
