라이스 장관은 4일 파키스탄 지도자들과 만족할만한 대화를 나눴다고 말했습니다. 라이스 장관은 파키스탄 대통령과 총리가 뭄바이 테러 수사를 지원하기로 약속했다면서, 추가 테러를 막기 위해서 인도와 파키스탄의 협력이 중요하다고 촉구했습니다.
한편 아시프 알리 자르단 대통령 측은 뭄바이 테러공격 연루자에 대해 강력한 행동을 취하기로 약속했다고 밝혔습니다.

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says Pakistan is vowing to fight terrorism and help pursue those who organized last week's deadly terrorist attacks in Mumbai.
Rice says she held "satisfactory" talks with Pakistani leaders in the capital of Islamabad today (Thursday). The top U.S. diplomat says Pakistan's president and prime minister pledged to support the Mumbai investigation. Rice also urged Pakistan and India to work together to help prevent more attacks.
Earlier, Rice called on Pakistan to mount a "robust" response to the attacks.
The office of Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari says he assured Rice he will take "strong action " against anyone in Pakistan who was involved in the Mumbai attacks. A statement released by Mr. Zardari also says Pakistan will not allow its territory to be used for acts of terrorism.
