미국 캘리포니아 주에서 발생한 대규모 산불이 남부 주택가로 번지자 주 당국은 10만명의 주민들에게 대피령을 내렸습니다.
시속 1백20 킬로미터로 부는 강한 바람의 영향으로 빠르게 확산된 산불은 로스엔젤레스 시 주택가를 덮쳐 한 때 이 지역 병원의 전원을 차단시키기도 했습니다.
14일 밤 발생한 산불이 이틀째 진정 기미를 보이지 않고 있는 가운데 소방관들은 계속해서 진화 노력을 벌이고 있습니다. 소방 당국은 산불로 인해 최소 1천개 건물이 위험에 처해 있으며 1명이 중상을 입었다고 밝혔습니다.
산불은 유명 연예인들이 모여사는 몬테시토의 산타 바바라 지역으로도 번져 이 지역 5천 가구 이상이 대피했습니다.
산불은 현재까지 1백10채의 주택을 전소시켰으며 이들 중 대부분은 호화주택인 것으로 전해졌습니다.

Authorities in the U.S. state of California have ordered about ten-thousand people to evacuate their homes today (Saturday), as wildfires roar through residential areas in the south of the state.
In Los Angeles, a fast-moving fire, whipped by hurricane-force winds up to 120 kilometers per hour, tore through a neighborhood and briefly surrounded a hospital (UCLA-Olive View hospital),and cut power.
Firefighters continue to fight the flames, which broke out Friday night. The fire department says the blaze threatens at least one-thousand buildings and has seriously injured at least one person.
Fires are also raging in the Santa Barbara community of Montecito. More than five-thousand homes have been evacuated in the celebrity enclave since the fires erupted Thursday night.
They have destroyed more than 110 homes, many of them mansions and luxury estates. There are reports of at least 13 injuries.
