미국 우주왕복선 '인데버'호가 14일 국제우주정거장을 향해 발사됩니다.
인데버호에 탑승할 7명의 우주인들은 우주정거장에 두 칸의 침실과 화장실, 부엌, 그리고 운동 기구 등을 실어 나르게 됩니다. 우주인들은 또한 폐수를 식수로 정화하는 시설을 우주정거장에 설치할 계획입니다.
국제우주정거장에 새 시설을 설치함으로써 우주정거장 상주 우주인을 기존의 3명에서 6명으로 늘릴 수 있게 됐습니다.
인데버호 우주인들은 또한 우주유영을 통해 태양 전지판 배열을 수리할 계획입니다. 태양 정지판은 그동안 연결부위에 금속가루가 쌓여 제대로 작동되지 않았습니다.

The countdown has officially begun for Friday's planned launch of the U.S. space shuttle Endeavor for a 15-day mission to the International Space Station.
Endeavor's seven-member crew of will deliver several new compartments for the orbital outpost, including two sleeping compartments, a bathroom, kitchen and exercise equipment. The crew will also install a new system that will recycle wastewater into safe drinking water.
The additional compartments will allow the permanent ISS crew to expand from three to six astronauts.
The space shuttle crew will also conduct a series of spacewalks to repair a broken solar panel array. The array has not been rotating properly because its joint is clogged with metal shavings.
Officials with the U.S. space agency NASA says there is a 60 percent chance of good weather at the Cape Canaveral, Florida spaceport at launch time.
