when a U.S. strike hit a wedding party.
Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai appeared to refer to the alleged incident
during a news conference today when he again called for an end to civilian
deaths.
The head of U.S. Central Command, General David Petraeus, is in Afghanistan to
assess efforts to combat a rise in militant violence.
He arrived in Kabul on Tuesday. It is the general's first trip to Afghanistan
since he took command of all U.S. military forces in the Middle East and
Central Asia last week.
