세계 지도자들, 오바마 당선 축하 (E)


세계 지도자들은 미국 대통령 선거에서 민주당의 바락 오바마 후보가 승리한 것을 축하하면서, 앞으로 오바마 당선자가 직면할 국제적 과제들을 강조하고 있습니다.

미국의 가장 강력한 비판자 가운데 한 명인 드미트리 메드베데프 러시아 대통령은 오바마 당선자와 건설적인 관계를 발전시켜 나갈 것으로 예상한다고 말했습니다.

유럽연합의 호세 마누엘 바로소 집행위원장은 오바마 당선자에게 유럽과 협력해 현재의 국제적 금융위기를 해결하라고 촉구했습니다. 영국의 고든 브라운 총리는 오바마 당선자는 영국의 진정한 친구라면서, 국제적 경제위기의 시대에 오바마 당선자와의 협력을 기대한다고 말했습니다.

World leaders are congratulating Barack Obama for his victory in the U.S. presidential election, while highlighting some of the global challenges he will face.


One of the harshest critics of the United States, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, today (Wednesday)said he expects to develop a constructive dialogue with Mr. Obama.

British Prime Minister Gordon Brown called Mr. Obama a "true friend of Britain" and said he looks forward to working with him during these difficult economic times.

Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said he does not expect Mr. Obama's election to result in a quick troop withdrawal from Iraq or a sudden change in U.S. policy.

The first black president of South Africa, Nelson Mandela, also congratulated Obama, who is the first African-American president-elect of the United States. Mr. Mandela urged Mr. Obama to combat the "scourge of poverty and disease everywhere."

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said he is looking forward to forming a partnership with the new U.S. presidential administration.
