한국의 이명박 대통령은 북한 김정일 국방위원장의 건강이상설에 대해 "여전히 북한 사회는 김 위원장을 중심으로 정상적으로 움직이고 있다고 생각한다"고 밝혔습니다.
이 대통령은 22일자 프랑스 일간지 '르 피가로'와의 인터뷰에서 "김 위원장의 건강문제 때문에 북한에 어떤 변화가 있다고 생각하지 않는다"고 말했습니다.
한국 국정원은 김 위원장이 한 달이상 공식석상에 모습을 보이지 않은 것과 관련해 김 위원장이 지난 8월 뇌졸중을 앓은 것으로 파악했습니다. 이런 가운데 북한은 여전히 김 위원장의 군부대 시찰 사진 등을 공개하고 있지만 사진의 진위여부가 계속해서 논란이 되고 있습니다.

South Korean President Lee
Myung-bak says North Korean leader Kim Jong Il is still running the isolated state,
despite concerns raised in Seoul about the dictator's health.
In an interview with French newspaper "Le Figaro," Mr. Lee says he
does not believe there have been any changes in North Korea because of Mr.
Kim's health.
South Korean intelligence sources have speculated Mr. Kim suffered a stroke in
August, after he failed to appear in public for more than one month. North
Korea released still photographs of the communist leader last week, including
one of him inspecting a military unit.
But experts have questioned whether the photos were recent.
The health of the 66-year-old Mr. Kim has led to concerns about a possible
leadership void in the totalitarian state.
