아프가니스탄 남부 지역에서 탈레반 무장분자들이 버스를 타고 가던 승객 적어도 30명을 살해했다고 아프간 관계관들이 밝혔습니다.
아프간 국방부 대변인은 이들 무장 문자들이 지난 16일 탈레반 거점인 칸다하르 지역에서 버스와 승객 50명을 납치했다고 말했습니다.
이 대변인은 승객가운데 살해된 30여 구의 사체들이 발견됐으며 다른 승객들은 풀려났다고 전했습니다.
탈레반 대변인은 이번 공격이 자신들의 소행이라고 말하면서 아프간 병사 27명을 살해했다고 주장했으나 아프간 국방부 대변인은 그같은 주장을 일축했습니다.

Afghan officials say Taliban
militants have killed at least 30 people who were traveling on a bus in
southern Afghanistan.
A Defense Ministry spokesman (General Zahir Azimi) says the militants
hijacked the bus and its 50 passengers Thursday in (the Maiwand district of)
Kandahar province, a Taliban stronghold.
The spokesman says about 30 dead bodies have been found, six of them beheaded.
He says the other passengers were released.
A Taliban spokesman claimed responsibility for the attack and said 27 Afghan
soldiers had been killed. The Defense Ministry spokesman denied that claim.
The death toll has not been independently verified, because of poor access to
the region.
