일본이 신흥 개발 국가들의 금융위기 대처를 돕기 위한 긴급 융자금을 제공할 국제기금을 제안하겠다고 밝혔습니다.
일본의 나카가와 소이치 재무상은 오늘 미국 워싱턴에서 열리는 선진 주요7개국 재무장관 회의에서 이같은 제안을 내놓을 것이라고 밝혔습니다. 오늘 회의에는 국제통화기금 관계자들도 참석합니다.
일본의 제안은 선진 주요 7개국이 국제통화기금을 통해 세계 금융위기를 진정시킬 기금을 조성하는 방안을 담고 있습니다. 일본 교도통신은 중국과 중동의 산유국들도 기금 출연에 협조해줄 것을 요청받을 것이라고 전했습니다.

Japan
will propose the creation of an international fund that will provide emergency
loans to emerging nations to help them deal with the current global financial
crisis.
Finance Minister Shoichi Nakagawa says he will introduce the proposal today (Friday)
in Washington at a meeting of financial ministers from world's seven
richest industrial nations. Officials with the International Monetary Fund will
also participate in the summit.
The proposal calls for the G7 nations to funnel the money through the IMF.
Japan's Kyodo news agency says China and oil-producing nations in Middle East
will also be asked to contribute to the fund.
