파키스탄의 페르베즈 무샤라프 대통령이 사임한지 하루만인 19일, 집권 연립정부가 사법문제를 놓고 합일점을 찾지 못하고 있습니다.
연립정부는 수도 이슬라마바드에서 회담을 갖고 무샤라프에 의해 파면된 판사들의 복직 문제를 매듭짓기 위해 추가로 72시간이 필요하다는데 합의했습니다.
나와즈 샤리프 전 파키스탄 총리와 그가 이끄는 '파키스탄 무슬림연맹'은 판사들이 복직돼야한다는 입장입니다. 반면 '파키스탄 인민당'의 아시프 달리 자르다리 당수는 당 지도부가 받은 부패혐의에 대한 면책과 관련해,
판사들이 복직 후 이의를 제기할 것을 우려해 소극적인 태도를 보이고 있습니다.
한편, 이날 회담에서는 새 대통령 선출문제도 논의됐습니다.
파루크 나에크 파키스탄 법무장관은 기자들에게 정부가 무샤라프 전 대통령의 사임을 대가로 면책특권을 준다는 합의를 체결하지 않았다고 밝혔습니다.

Leaders of Pakistan's ruling coalition remain deadlocked over the judiciary, a day after President Pervez Musharraf resigned rather than face impeachment.
After meeting today (Tuesday)in Islamabad, the coalition parties decided they needed another 72 hours to come to an agreement on restoring judges purged by Mr. Musharraf.
While former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his party (PML-N)have been adamant about restoring the judiciary, the leader of the Pakistan People's Party, Asif Ali Zardari, has been more reluctant -- possibly because the justices could take up challenges to a legal amnesty granted to PPP leaders on corruption charges.
Today's talks also centered on selecting Mr. Musharraf's replacement.
Law Minister Farooq Naek told reporters the government did not strike a deal granting immunity to Mr. Musharraf, in exchange for his resignation.
