한편, 북부 항구도시인 트리폴리에서 13일 폭탄 공격으로 사망한 10 명의 군인들을위한 추도식장에 14일 많은 애도객들이 모여들었습니다.
군병사들이 국기에 덮힌 사망한 병사들의 관을 트리폴리의 운동경기장으로 운구하자 친지들과 친척들이이들을 박수로 맞았습니다. 레바논 내무장관과 육군 참모총장 대행, 그리고 정부 당국자들이 추도식에 참석했습니다.
사망한 병사들은13일 폭탄 폭발로 희생된 18명의 일부로, 그 사건으로 45명이 부상했습니다.
보안 당국은13일에 폭발된 폭탄이 군인들이 자주 모이는 버스 정류장에 설치돼 있었다고 밝혔습니다. 레바논 군은 이 사건이 병사들을 노린 테러분자의 소행이라고 말했습니다.

Syria and Lebanon have agreed to
take formal steps to define their common border, a day after pledging to
establish full diplomatic relations for the first time.
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his visiting Lebanese counterpart, Michel
Suleiman, announced the agreement in a joint statement today (Thursday).
The two also agreed during a second day of talks in Damascus to do more to
control their borders.
The border between Syria and Lebanon has been poorly marked in some areas since
the two countries gained independence from France more than 60 years ago.
Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem told a news conference today that the
borders of the disputed Shebaa Farms area will not be included in the
demarcation negotiations. He said the region cannot be demarcated while it
remains under "Israeli occupation."
