Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert says he does not believe that Israel and the Palestinians can achieve a peace agreement by the end of the year.
Officials today (Monday) quoted Mr. Olmert as saying the main obstacle to achieving peace is the status of Jerusalem. The prime minister spoke at a closed-door meeting with the Israeli parliament's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
