유럽연합, EU는 지난 주 이란의 미사일 시험발사에 관한 우려를 표명하고 이란 핵개발 계획 분쟁의 협상에 의한 해결합의를 이란측에 촉구했습니다.
EU는 11일, 성명을 통해 이란의 미사일 시험발사는 이란의 핵무기 획득의도에 관한 국제사회의 우려를 복잡하게 만들 수 있다고 지적했습니다.
그러나 러시아는 이란의 미사일들이 유럽까지 도달할 수 없기 때문에 이란의 미사일 시험발사는 동유럽내에 구축하려는 미사일방어체제 계획은 불필요한 것임을 나타내는 것이라고 주장했습니다. 러시아의 세르게이 라브로프 외무장관은 11일 발표된 성명을 통해 이란 핵계획 문제는 협상과 정치적, 외교적 수단으로 해결되어야 한다면서 이같이 주장했습니다.
한편, 이란은 사이드 자릴리 이란측 수석 협상대표가 이번 주에 EU의 하비에르 솔라나 외교정책 대표와 만나 이란 핵개발 계획 문제를 논의할 예정이라고 밝혔습니다.

The European Union has expressed concern about Iran's missile tests this week and urged Tehran to reach a negotiated solution on its disputed nuclear program.
An EU statement Friday said the missile tests can only compound the worries of the international community about Iran's nuclear ambitions.
But Russia said Iran's missile tests show a planned U.S. missile defense system in Europe is unnecessary, because Tehran's rockets cannot travel that far.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said issues linked to Iran should be resolved through negotiations, and political and diplomatic means.
Tensions over Iran's nuclear work intensified this week after it tested medium and long-range missiles, including one that Tehran said could hit Israel.
Meanwhile, Iran says its top nuclear negotiator (Saeed Jalili) is to meet with EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana next week to discuss Tehran's atomic program.
