중국 장시성 북서쪽에 위치한 광산이 무너져 18명의 광부들이 사망했다고 중국 관영 매체인 신화통신이 보도했습니다.
신화통신에 따르면 1일 쉔무 지역 지하 갱도에는 국영 광산 업체 휘센 리앙쉬징사 소속 광부 28명이 작업하고 있었습니다.
16명의 광부는 구조 당시 숨진채로 발견됐으며 2명의 생존자는 병원에 후송된 뒤 숨졌습니다.
중국 광산업의 안전도는 세계 최악으로 평가되고 있으며 지난해에만도 폭발과 함몰, 범람 등으로3천8백명의 광부가 숨졌습니다.

China's state-owned Xinhua news agency says 18 people have been killed in a mine-shaft collapse in northwest Shaanxi province.
Xinhua reported today (Wednesday) that 28 people were working underground at the state-owned Huisen Liangshuijing Coal Mine in Shenmu County when the accident occurred Tuesday.
Sixteen miners were found dead during a search and rescue operation Tuesday, while two of the 12 miners rescued alive later died at a hospital.
China has the world's deadliest mining industry, with about 38-hundred people killed last year in explosions, cave-ins and floods.
