없는 학생들을 위한 4천 달러의 세금 감면계획과, 학생융자금은 연방
정부가 제공하도록 하겠다고 말했습니다.
오마바 의원은 세금 감면을 받는 학생들은 100시간의 봉사활동을 해야 한다고 말했습니다.
한편, 16일 앨 고어 전 부통령은 오바마 의원에 대한 공식 지지를 선언했습니다.
고어 전 부통령은 미시간 주 디트로이트 시에서 연설을 하고 오바마 의원이 보다 나은 미래를 향해 나라를 이끌 지도자라고
말했습니다.
공화당의 사실상의 대선 후보인 존 매케인 상원의원은 17일 텍사스 주에서 유세활동을 벌입니다. 이 곳에서 매케인 상원의원은 미국 근해에서의 석유 및 천연가스 탐사 금지를 해제할 것을 촉구할 예정입니다.

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama says if
elected president he plans to make college affordable for everyone.
Speaking to students at a community college in Michigan (Wayne County
Community College) today (Tuesday), Obama discussed several
initiatives he says he would implement, including a four-thousand dollar tax
credit for students who cannot afford college. He also said he would require
student loans be provided by the federal government.
The Illinois senator said there would be requirements to receive the tax
credit, including 100 hours of community service.
On Monday, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore endorsed Obama, saying in
Detroit, Michigan, that Obama is the candidate to lead the country toward a
better future.
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee, John McCain, is campaigning
today in Texas, where the veteran Arizona lawmaker is to call for the lifting
of a ban on offshore U.S. oil and natural gas exploration.
