버마의 관영 ‘미얀마르의 새 빛’은 테인 세인 총리가 귀향 태풍 이재민들을 위해 천막을 설치하고 일주일분의 식량을 배급할 것을 지시했다고 보도했습니다.
앞서 지난 7일 신문은 버마 군사 정부가 태풍 이재민들을 임시 수용소에서 강제 퇴거시켜 귀향시키고 있다는 보도를 부인했습니다.

Burma's military government has ordered that temporary shelters be built for cyclone victims who want to return to their home villages.
The official "New Light of Myanmar" newspaper said (Sunday) Prime Minister Thein Sein has ordered that tents be set up for returning refugees, and that the homeless be provided with a one week supply of food.
The paper quotes Thein Sein as saying farmers will be provided with power tillers and paddy strainers, and fishermen given boats and fishing gear.
On Saturday, the state-run paper denied that the military government had forced survivors of Cyclone Nargis out of emergency camps and back to their devastated villages.
An editorial blamed foreign media for, what it called, "tarnishing the image of the nation."
