유럽연합 외무장관들은 오랫동안 지체됐던 '러시아와의 새로운 전략적 동반자 관계 협정'에 관한 회담을 시작하는 계획을 공식 승인했습니다.
이같은 합의는 27개 회원국의 유럽연합 외무장관들이 26일 벨기에 브뤼셀에서 만난 가운데 나왔습니다.
이같은 합의로 인해 정치, 무역, 에너지 합의 등 유럽연합과 러시아 간의 광범위한 합의가 약 2년 간의 교착상태를 벗어날 수 있게 됐습니다.

European Union foreign ministers have formally approved plans to begin long-delayed talks with Russia on a new Strategic Partnership agreement.
The approval came today (Monday) as ministers from the 27-nation bloc met in Brussels.
The EU talks with Russia are expected to begin in late June.
The agreement ends a nearly two-year stalemate over the deal, which covers a wide range of EU-Russian political, trade and energy agreements. Poland originally blocked the talks in 2006 after Russia banned Polish meat imports. Lithuania later blocked them in a dispute triggered by a Russian cut-off of oil deliveries by pipeline to Lithuania's only refinery.
In other developments, Poland and Sweden sought support today from other EU nations for a new outreach program to build closer ties with Ukraine and other former Soviet states.
