미국과 영국외무장관들은 회담이 끝난 뒤 가진 공동 기자회견에서, 이란의 우라늄 농축활동 중단을 요구한 세계 주요 강대국들의 수정제안을 이란측이 받아들일 것을 촉구했습니다.
유엔 안전보장이사회의 다섯 개 상임이사국들과 독일은 이달 초 이란의 핵활동 중단을 유도하기 위한 새 유인책들을 담은 제안에 합의한 바 있습니다.

The top U.S. and British diplomats say they are studying Iran's proposal for wide-ranging talks on its nuclear program and other issues.
U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and British Foreign Secretary David Miliband discussed the Iranian proposal Wednesday in Washington.
Later, at a joint news conference, Rice and Miliband urged Iran to accept a revised offer of incentives from major powers to suspend uranium enrichment.
The five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council and Germany agreed to a new incentives package earlier this month. Miliband said the major powers are in advanced discussions with Iran about when and where to formally present the offer.
Secretary Rice said that if Iran does not make what she called the "right choice" about the incentives, it will face "consequences." She was not specific.
Western nations accuse Iran of trying to develop nuclear weapons, a charge Tehran denies.
