앞서 펠로시 의장은 시몬 페레스 이스라엘 대통령과 에후드 올메르트 총리, 그밖의 여러 이스라엘 지도자들을 만났습니다.
펠로시 의장은 이스라엘에 대한 미국의 지지는 미국 민주당과 공화당을 단합시키는 주요 현안이라고 말했습니다. 부시 미국 대통령도 지난 16일 이스라엘 건국 기념 행사에 참석한 자리에서 미국은 이스라엘의 최고의 우방이라고 말했습니다.

Her schedule included meetings with Israeli President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and other leaders.
Pelosi said Sunday that U.S. support for Israel is an issue that unites both the Democratic and Republican parties.
U.S. President George Bush also joined Israel's anniversary celebration on Friday. He called the United States Israel's "best friend".
