한편 야당인 민주변화동맹의 모건 칭기라이 당수는 로버트 무가베 대통령에 맞서 결선투표에 참가하기 위해 짐바브웨에 귀국할 것이라고 밝혔습니다. 칭기라이 당수는 결선투표를 감시하기 위한 국제 참관단의 입국이 허용돼야 한다고 지적했습니다.

The Zimbabwe government says it will bar international observers from the presidential runoff election unless sanctions against the country are lifted.
State media reported that the government will not invite western countries because it considered them "players" in Zimbabwe politics.
Opposition candidate Morgan Tsvangirai has said he will return to Zimbabwe to participate in the runoff against President Robert Mugabe. But Mr. Tsvangirai has insisted that international observers and regional peacekeepers be allowed to monitor the process.
Zimbabwe's Justice Minister (Patrick Chinamasa) rejected the conditions. Election officials also said the runoff will not be held within 21 days of the announcement of the first-round results as required by law. Election chief George Chiweshe said officials will likely extend the period in which the vote can be held.
