밀리반드 장관은 2일 런던에서, 유엔 안전보장이사회 5개 상임이사국과 독일은 이란에 대한 앞선 제의를 수정 보완하기로 합의했다고 말했습니다.
그러나, 밀리반드 장관은 이란에 제공될 수정된 제안의 구체적인 내용은 공개되지 않을 것이라고 덧붙였습니다.
지난 2006년 6월, 이들 6개 나라는 이란이 우라늄 농축 계획을 중단할 경우 경제지원과 다른 외교적 보상책을 제공할 것이라고 제의했었습니다.

British Foreign Secretary David Miliband says world powers have agreed to offer Iran new incentives to stop its sensitive nuclear work.
Miliband said today (Friday) in London that officials from Germany and the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council -- the United States, Britain, France, Russia and China -- agreed to update a previous offer to Iran.
But he said details of the amended offer to the Iranian government will not be made public.
In June 2006, the six countries offered Iran economic aid and diplomatic incentives, if it would drop its uranium enrichment program.
The Security Council has imposed three sets of sanctions on Iran for its refusal to halt uranium enrichment, a process that can be used to make nuclear weapons.
The United States and its Western allies accuse Iran of working to build a nuclear weapon. Iran says its atomic program is for peaceful purposes.
