베이징 올림픽 성화의 일본 지역 봉송이 일부 소란 속에서 끝났습니다. 성화 봉송 중에는 치밀한 경계에도 불구하고 시위와 함께 물리적인 충돌도 발생했습니다.
일본 북부 나가노 시에서 오늘(26일) 진행된 성화 봉송에는 80명의 주자가 참가했으며, 제복과 운동복 차림의 경찰 수백명이 성화 주자와 함께 이동했습니다.
19킬로미터의 성화 봉송 구간을 따라서도 3천명 이상의 경찰이 배치됐습니다. 또 중국 정부를 지지하는 중국인과 일본인들이 각각 중국기와 티베트기를 들고 거리에 나왔습니다.
한편 일부 시위대는 "티베트에 자유를"이라는 구호를 외치기도 했으며, 성화 주자에게 뛰어들다가 경찰에 붙잡힌 사람도 있었습니다.
일본 지역 봉송을 마친 올림픽 성화는 서울로 이동하며, 서울에서도 인권단체들의 시위가 예상됩니다.

The Japanese leg of the Beijing Summer Olympics torch relay has ended amid protests and scuffles, despite tight security.
Hundreds of Japanese police in uniforms and track suits ran alongside torch bearers and Chinese attendants (in blue and white track suits) through the streets of the northern city of Nagano today (Saturday).
The 19-kilometer route was lined by more than three-thousand police, Chinese supporters waving Chinese flags, and some Japanese protesters holding Tibetan flags. Some spectators ran behind barricades in pace with the torch. About 80 torchbearers carried the flame.
A few demonstrators threw objects into the torch's path. One man yelling "Free Tibet" briefly pushed past guards onto the street a few meters from the torch, before police detained him.
