파키스탄과 아프가니스탄은 23일 테러에 대항하고 양국 관계를 발전시키겠다는 의지를 재확인했습니다.
유수프 질라니 파키스탄 총리와 랑긴 다드파르 스만타 아프가니스탄 외무장관은 이 날 파키스탄의 수도 이슬라마바드에서 회담을 갖고 발표한 성명에서 이같이 밝혔습니다.
양국은 이웃국가는 서로에게 막대한 영향을 미친다며 경제 협력을 증진하겠다는 목표를 재확인했습니다. 양국은 또한 지역 안정을 위해 아프가니스탄과 파키스탄 양 측 대표들로 구성된 부족장 회의, 이른바 소규모 '지르가' 회의에 관해서도 논의했습니다.

Pakistan and Afghanistan have renewed their commitment to fight terrorism and enhance their bilateral ties.
The announcement came today (Wednesday) after talks in Islamabad between Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Gilani and Afghan Foreign Minister Rangin Dadfar Spanta.
Both sides reaffirmed their goal to boost economic cooperation, saying, as neighbors, each country strongly affects the other. They also discussed the upcoming meeting of the so-called small "jirga" or assembly -- comprising representatives from both Afghanistan and Pakistan -- to work towards regional stability.
Relations between the two countries have been tense with each government accusing the other of harboring extremists and fomenting cross-border violence.
