일본에서 항공자위대의 이라크 파병이 헌법에 위배된다는 법원 판결이 나왔습니다.
나고야 고등재판소는 17일, 항공자위대의 공중 임무는 국제분쟁해결을 위한 무력사용을 금지하는 헌법을 위반하는 것이라고 지적했습니다. 그러나, 재판부는 파병 중단 요구 소송에 대해서는 판결을 내릴 수 없다며 기각했습니다.
마치무라 노부다카 일본 관방장관은 이같은 법원 판결이 항공자위대의 활동에 아무런 영향도 미치지 않을 것이라고 말했습니다.
1천 여 명의 일본인들은 자위대의 이라크 파병을 막기 위해 정부를 상대로 이같은 소송을 제기했습니다.

A Japanese court has ruled that the country's dispatch of air force troops to Iraq is unconstitutional.
In a ruling announced today, the Nagoya High Court said the air mission violates a national ban on the use of force to resolve international disputes.
The court dismissed the case, however, saying it could not rule on the suspension of the dispatch.
Japan's chief Cabinet Secretary Nobutaka Machimura says the ruling will not have any impact on the activities of the air force.
The case was brought by more than one thousand Japanese citizens who sought an injunction against sending Japanese troops to Iraq.
