Britain's Prince Harry landed back in Britain today (Saturday) after 10 weeks of serving as an ordinary soldier in Afghanistan. His deployment was cut short when news of his deployment was leaked by the foreign media.
The prince arrived at the (Royal) Air Force base near Oxford where he was greeted by his father - Prince Charles - and older brother, Prince William.
Harry - the 23-year-old grandson of Queen Elizabeth and third in line to the British throne - left Afghanistan prematurely Friday. His departure follows a decision to withdraw him so he and his unit would not become a target by militants.
An Australian publication first reported on Harry's deployment in January. The news appeared this week on a U.S.-based Web site (The Drudge Report), and media around the world then ran the story.
