푸틴 대통령은 이날 오는 5월 퇴임 전 마지막 연례 기자회견을 갖고 러시아는 서방 세계와 대립하려 하지 않는다며, 어쩔 수 없는 일이 발생하지 않는 이상 어느 국가들에도 미사일을 겨냥하지 않겠다며 이같이 밝혔습니다.
러시아는 미국이 이란 등의 미사일 공격을 막기 위해 폴란드에 미사일 방어체제 10기와 체코에 유도 레이더를 설치하려는 것을 강력히 반대하고 있습니다. Russian President Vladimir Putin has again warned that Russian missiles will be pointed at Ukraine, the

Speaking at his last annual news conference before stepping down in May, Mr. Putin also said that Russia did not plan a conflict with the West, and would not point its missiles at any state unless it was forced to do so.
Russia is strongly opposed to U.S. plans to deploy 10 missile interceptors in Poland, and guidance radar in the Czech Republic to protect against missile attacks by rogue states such as Iran.
Mr. Putin is constitutionally barred from running for president again, but his hand picked successor, Dmitry Medvedev, has a wide lead in the polls ahead of the March 2nd election.
