미국의 유명 식품유통업체인 '트레이더 조스'가 안전상의 이유로 일부 중국산 식품의 판매를 중단할 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
이 업체는 오는 4월1일까지 중국에서 생산된 모든 식품 원재료의 판매를 중단할 계획입니다.
미국에서는 지난해 중국에서 수입된 일부 식품이 회수조치된 사례가 있습니다.
또 애완동물용 사료와 2천1백만개에 달하는 장난감도 안전상의 이유로 회수됐었습니다.

The U.S. grocery store chain Trader Joe's says it will stop selling some food imported from China due to customer concerns about safety.
The food retailer says all single ingredient food products from China will be off the chain's shelves by April first.
Several food products imported from China had to be recalled last year prompting concerns among U.S. consumers.
Pet food and 21 million Chinese-made toys were also recalled in 2007.
