Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore told the World Economic Forum today (Thursday) that the world climate crisis is worsening.
The Nobel Peace Prize winner says recent scientific evidence shows the crisis is significantly worse and unfolding more rapidly than predicted.
Gore was accompanied on stage by musician Bono, who has worked to reduce global poverty and hunger.
At the Forum in Davos, Switzerland on Wednesday, Afghan President Hamid Karzai warned that terrorism is spreading rapidly in South Asia, with possibly devastating consequences for the rest of the world.
Mr. Karzai cited turmoil in neighboring Pakistan, where opposition leader Benazir Bhutto was recently assassinated.
