체코공화국의 플첸시 당국은 오는 20일에 계획된 신 나치주의자들의 시위를 금지했습니다.
파벨 뢰들 플첸시장은 이번 집회가 당초 계획했던 것보다 대규모가 될 것이라는 정보를 입수한 후에 앞서의 집회 허가를 취소했습니다.
이번 시위에는 체코와 독일에서 수백명의 신 나치 극단주의자들이 참가할 것으로 알려져 당국을 긴장시켰습니다.
신 나치주의자들의 시위에 반대하는 측도 이 시위에 대한 반대를 표명하기 위해 맞불시위를 계획했습니다.
반대자들은 이번 시위가 2차세계대전중 나치가 플첸에서 시작한 유대인 추방 66주년 기념일 하루 뒤에 계획됐다는 사실을 지적합니다.

Authorities in the western Czech city of Plzen have banned a march by neo-Nazis, planned for Saturday.
Plzen Mayor Pavel Roedl withdrew permission for the demonstration after learning that it will be much larger than originally projected, because it is expected to draw hundreds of Czech and German extremists to the city.
Opponents of the march had also planned to hold meetings to express opposition to the march. They also had strongly objected to the demonstration because it was scheduled one day after the 66th anniversary of the start of the Nazi deportation of Jews from Plzen during World War Two.
The proposed route of the march would have taken demonstrators past Plzen's synagogue, where the local Jewish community plans to hold a memorial ceremony.
