조지 부시 미국 대통령이 8일간의 중동순방의 마지막 방문지인 이집트에 도착했습니다.
호스니 무바라크 이집트 대통령은 홍해의 샴 엘 세이크 리조트에서 직접 부시 대통령을 맞았으며, 두 정상은 곧바로 회담에 돌입했습니다. 회담에서는 이스라엘과 팔레스타인 간의 평화 방안이 집중 논의될 예정입니다.
부시 대통령은 16일 밤 귀국길에 오릅니다.
한편 부시 대통령은 지난 14일과 15일 이틀간 사우디아라비아에 머무르면서, 유가 안정을 위해 석유수출국기구인 OPEC가 석유 생산량을 늘릴 것을 촉구했습니다.
부시 대통령은 압둘라 사우디 국왕과 회담을 가진 후, 압둘라 국왕이 유가 상승과 이로인해 세계 경제에 미치는 부정적 영향에 대해 이해하고 있었다고 말했습니다.

U.S. President George Bush is in Egypt, on the final stop of his eight-day tour of the Middle East.
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak received Mr. Bush at the Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh, and the two leaders went into talks, expected to focus on the peace process between Israel and the Palestinians.
Later today (Wednesday), Mr. Bush departs for Washington.
Mr. Bush spent Monday and Tuesday in Saudi Arabia, where he called on the OPEC oil cartel to put more oil on the world market to help reduce energy costs.
Mr. Bush says he hopes that after his talks with Saudi King Abdullah, OPEC will authorize an increase in production. The president says the king understands the situation and that he is worried about high oil prices and how they can negatively effect economies around the world.
