인도 철도당국은 15일 열차와 인도의 교통 수단인 '릭샤'가 충돌해 최소 9명이 숨지고 2명이 부상했다고 밝혔습니다.
철도당국은 릭샤가 인도 동부 캘커타에서 남쪽에서 60 마일 떨어진 마을에서 사람이 없는 철길을 건너다 열차와 충돌했다고 밝혔습니다.
당국자들은 릭샤 운전수 등 릭샤에 타고 있던 이들이 사망했으며, 열차 승객 중 사망자는 없었다고 밝혔습니다.
사고 원인은 밝혀지지 않았습니다.
한달 전 인도 북부 펀자브주에서도 열차와 버스가 충돌해 어린이들을 포함해 20명 가까이 사망한 바 있습니다.
