구조대원들은 지난 26일 피해 지역에 중장비를 투입하기 위해 노력했지만, 불어난 물과 진흙 때문에 중단할 수 밖에 없었습니다.

Thousands of people are homeless after their homes were buried or washed away after recent heavy rains and flooding triggered the landslides. Many roads and bridges to affected areas are blocked by mud and water.
Officials say 40 people are dead or missing after a bridge collapsed in East Java.
Local television showed images of ruined houses and people wading through high water, clutching their belongings. One woman whose home was destroyed said people do not know where to evacuate to and get food.
